yeah, i wish i had read your thread on the oem ones before i ordered one and got a 0325 KIUHB in the mail today (good thing its not for me :)). I got a newer stepping than this on my 2500 barton (0327) that i ordered retail from them a month and a half ago.

We've been through this. It's an unacceptable gamble.
If you are in the US, there are only three known places to buy B's without paying a guarantee premium:
1700+ at gameve.com:
http://www.gameve.com/store/gameve_viewitem.asp?idproduct=267
1700+ & 1800+ (That's just the two of those, not higher rated CPUs) at this place:
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductList.jsp?ThirdCategoryCode=010413
(click on 'next' at the bottom of the page.)
2100+ (that's just the 2100+, not lower CPUs) at newegg.com:
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=manufactory&catalog=343&manufactory=1028&DEPA=1&sortby=14&order=1
OEM's (not retail) are guaranteed.

Arkaine didn't have much luck with his. I'll try mine when i have time tomorrow, but from what arkaine got i don't think it will be able to beat what i have now.

I got a KIUHB from newegg about a week ago and it would get to windows and crash at 2600mhz... took 2.1volts tho, it was oem...
Just recieved a JIUHB Dlt3c retail... My first dlt3c as the others have all been dut3c.
Hope this one doesn't need as much voltage as all the others in the past....

My KIUHB's weren't so bad really. Something is wrong with my test box- probably the hdd....
Everything works fine, except folding hangs on the initial benchmark no matter what I do. I fresh installed win2k twice. And I tried speeds ranging from stock to 2.2Ghz. Same problem. So now I've got that box folding on a Overclockix CD and saving the WU to a directory on my fileserver.

Why do I feel like I need one of these when I have one running at 2400mhz already?! This is so stupid of me. I already upgraded a DUT3C to the DLT3C. Geeze, I need a video card, not a CPU. But I find it hard to stop the urge.
IdreamofDSl
10-03-03, 05:32 PM
I have the exact same feeling. I even had it in cart about to pay and I stopped myself. What’s the point? The best I will get is another 200 MHz. It truly is an addiction, I'm soo ashamed LOL.
It would be nice to run the same speed at lower voltage. Damn it, there I go again. I need to Overclockers Anonymous meetings.:(

I just installed my 1800+ niuhb 0334 dlt3c from newegg and it's running at 2.3ghz already. Voltage is 1.62 according to mbm5. This is way better than the 1800+ dlt3c 0311 i got from excaliber. That one i topped out just over 2.3 ghz at 1.84 v with the same setup. I have a crap psu though and i don't think i reached the potential of that chip.

IdreamofDSl - It is true - I am busting my @$$ lookin for one of these NIUHB's in Canada, and I'm at 2500 MHz *already*. The urge to keep going higher and higher is compelling and addictive - but WHY?!? Soon I will be one of those guys who spends all of his money just buying CPUs of all different steppings and weeks - just to see how high each one will go on his phase-change cooling... the guys who even buy the known crappy steppings just to see how high they can get them... the guys who have hundreds of "keychains"... the thought is just sickening. Luckily I don't have phsae change... yet... :(
WHY DO I ALWAYS WANT MORE AND MORE SPEED!?!?!
I really, really, really need help. 8-\
But past that - I am seriously wondering why AMD is putting out so many different new steppings all of a sudden?
Look at what we have here -
1. JIUHB*** (still being produced - I saw more than a few 0334s today while making the rounds of all the computer stores I saw on my way to another computer store 2.5 hours away from my house by bus... 8-\ )
2. JIXHB
3. JIXIB*** (does anyone have results on one of these? I can get six locally and resell them @ no profit, if they are worth the time - 0332)
4. NIUHB
5. KIUHB
EDIT>>> *looks at above post*
EDIT>>> 6. NUICB
Weird huh? Why are all of these new steppings suddenly being put out? You'd think that what with the Athlon64 release AMD would *STOP*, or at least slow down on the production of new steppings... Any thoughts?

IMMEDIATELY GO OUT, er CAMP out and buy ALL the JIXUB's, I repeat buy all the JIXUB's.. Supposed to be the best of the lot from what I've heard.
I've been hunting for those, all the recent xp2600's Ive seen have been AIXUB , so "X" marks the spot
There is a thread in the AMD cpu section on JIXUB stepping, gotta go---CUBS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Miralcos
10-03-03, 10:48 PM
felinusz, where are you located and how much are those JIXIB processors?
felinusz
10-03-03, 11:01 PM
I live in Toronto, Ontario - the complete stepping is AXDA 1800 DLT3C JIXIB 0332 XPMW. I posted the store name in the "Where can I find these crazy mad ****znatch processors in Canada?" thread (It isn't named *exactly* that ;)) which is still very alive.
They have around 6 in stock and told me that all their recent shipments have all been JIXIBs. I have seen *NO RESULTS* from this stepping - otherwise I would be overclocking one right now ;). I don't want to be the $83 (Canadian $$$) Guinea pig for this particular stepping ;). The main problem is that it takes me 2.5 hours to get to this store, and 2.5 horus to get back. So - if I am going to go and buy one I will probably buy them all and resell them (what could I do with 6 processors? ;)) for like $0-$10 more than they cost me. But I would raly like to see some results first ;)
They are retail box 1800+ processors with the new (and shiny!) AMD fan. They are *NOT* OEMs. Strangely enough the other 3 computer stores in that same mall only have JIUHBs.
Hughhefner - they are "JIXIB', not "JIXUB ;)

The jixib is possibly a great overclocker there was a thread recently about that exact stepping, supposedly 2.6 ghz on air BUY! BUY! BUY! lol

I'm running at 2.5ghz right now at 1.85volts. All I can remember from the stepping is it's JIUHB DLT3C and the week is 0333. It's stable as a rock at this mhz and voltage. Pretty pleased with it. :D

It seems to be quite happy at this mhz. I love the fact it runs at 2.5 with 1.85v. Paired with dualchannel ram at 5-2-2-2 timings and it is very very zippy.... I'm pretty pleased at the moment, soon I'll get bored with this speed and try pushing it to the limit. :)
edit: by settings, what would you like? I had to burn in the chip at stock speed with 1.95v for 24hours before it would be stable at 2.5ghz and 1.85v....

I bought it today. The store has two more left in stock *exactly* the same as the one I got. I took a picture of the chip with my webcam - HERE (http://www.ngemu.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=49566).
http://www.ngemu.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=49566
The complete stepping is:
AXDA 1800 DLT3C 9543385260259 JIXIB 0332 VPMW
I'm going to crack it out tommorrow afternoon and see how it flies - note that I have really, really bad RAM that won't cut above 205 (I returned my unperforming Hynix BT-D43 :() - and a motherboard with a low chipset voltage that hasn't been modded yet. The highest stable overclock I can *physically* get with my current memory is 12.5 x 205.... waiting for Twinmos in the mail ;)

Sure - go for it if you need a new processor - although all these "new" (NIUHB, KIUHB, JIXIB, JIXHB) steppings seem to be popping up everywhere now and I don't think they are actually particularly "rare" - in fact I think that we will be seing these a lot from now on. I suspect that they are really very much the same as the 033X JIUHBs as well - but all the new (033X) week chips have been having *really* good results so far - so why not invest in a cool sounding stepping?
I am going to crack my 1800+ JIXIB tonight - I have been hellishly busy until now and have finally found time. I will have results tonight or tommorrow morning :)

Arrugh!!!! Just got mine from Newegg yesterday, a JIUHB. And I did order it retail. D**, guess I'm just not lucky. :( Oh well, I'll see what I can get out of this chip. I'll post back after I try it. But that'll probably be in a week or so (waiting on a Newegg NF7-S refurb, they go fast!).

O.K. - I have cracked the JIXIB chip out.
Before Burn in - popped in and am running at 2500 MHz prime95 stable for half an hour so far with a 1.85 Vcore voltage - load temperatures ~37 Degrees Celcius/Cooling in signature (water).
Looks promising :)
Unfortunately I couldn't do the routine testing @ stock Vcore as my volt mod prevens voltages lower than 1.7 - but it *did* do 2400 MHz on 1.725 for half an hour prime95 stable!
Note that all my clocks are 200 x 1X (as my RAM is DDR 266 and can't scale past 66% sync - limiting my FSB to 210).
I am going to keep going and see what I can get out of this chip. I also noticed before putting it in - when I swapped my old 1700+ JIUHB 0319 out that the core on this chip is *very* red in color compared to my old chip which was a very shiny silver/white color. I don't know if this has any signifigance or not - but it is worth mentioning.

My 1800+ niuhb 0334 is running prime 95 right now at 2520mhz and 1.82-1.84v. Try it and see, there is no guarantee, but this seems to be a very nice stepping. A few others here have had 2500mhz+ overclocks with this one...
