Since a lot of programs start appearing in .net or similar apps, wouldn't it be a grand idea if stanford actually created a net-based edition of FAH?

Just browse to folding.stanford.edu/appname and it would run like a net-app using local ressources.

No install, no need for a HD, os independent.. just a browser.

Should be programeable...

that sounds like a good idea! Would make folding in Knoppix lots easier. Of course there is always Overclockix... :p

Hrm unless the way that folding code works was changed I think the only way to accomplish this would be with a browser based activeX control. A java applet would be too restricted security wise to tie into the machine the way that the folding client does now. Either way it sorta is installing a program (both java applets and activex controls) its just that you are using your browser to do it.
