View Full Version : Anyone experience the 1.4 yet?
I am contemplating the 1.4 versus a 1.33. Because of the posts here I'm not sure whether to go with a 1.33 Axia or a AHYJA 1.33 or 1.4? I take it all the 1.4's are the new AHYJA chip? Anyone have one yet?

My math mark score got trashed by an overclocked one at 1.64 Ghz. SO they must rock!! To answer your question only secondhand by getting whipped by one on a benchmark! SO they must have something in them.

I just got a 1.4 yesterday . I got the retail box version, since I got it at a discount. It is an AHYJA.
I havent tried to push it further yet because the temps are a bit high right now. The retail heatsink seems to be good quality but I may change the fan on it for a ys tech and see if that helps. Its running 51C just doing browsing. Not sure if the mb sensor is working right though, since the heatsink doesn't feel that hot.
I also removed the heatsink after I had pushed it to 57C and shutdown. The cpu was just barely hot.

The 1.4 will do 1.76 air cooled.

Mine doesn't. I can't run anything above 1.4 (Even 1426 locks after windows boots) :( (AYHJA)

What motherboard and CPU cooler are you using?

My 1.33 AYHJA won't even do 1400 (10x140). It will boot into Windows, but eventually lock-up. At 11x133 I will only bluescreens when booting.
Tried different voltages and memory timings.
Using an ABit KT7A-RAID with an Taisol CKG760, replaced the fan with the fan from a FOP32.
Sucks =(

My 1.4 can only achieve 1.4 if I run 10x140. Seems to have major locking problems as I enter windows if i change the mult. Think my ram keeps it from going any higher than 140fsb. Anyone else have the same problems with the multiplier?

O yea I experianced 1.4 alright I experianced a brand new chip only 1 day old come from retail box broke then to top it off removing my global win WBK38 heatsink to test it with cracked part of it off the core very nice = ( and btw It would never bootup b4 it was cracked. Right out of the box I got a band chip and my 1.2 looks dead = ( i got no luck my dad is gona crack the core of my head if AMD don't give me a new 1 I gota tell AMD that I used there fan I bought retail box version $276 with tax here in New York City , O did I forget to mention while puting the AMD heatsink they gave me on like 1 hr ago i did this to make an imprint in the heatsink I sliped with plyers and notched a piece of my mobo off I should just jump out my window I wish AMD would make there CPU's like Intels core.
Well getting my new 1.4 Monday with the Asus A7M266 and Crucial DDR. Bent the wallet and am getting the Swiftech MC462 heatsink and fan. We'll soon find out.
I look at it this way; even if all I get is 1.4gig then it's a lot faster than my PIII 700@933! Looking forward to it.

Well I take back 1 thing my 1.2 is sooooooooo Cracked the core and it always works!!!!!!! idon't know how its like the invincible chip I cleaned it with alchol and nail polish remover and omg it works!!!!!! w00t back to 1.6 till I get my 1.4 back in mail I think my 1.4 was bad out of the box = (
