I just got a New CPU , Athlon XP 2500+ Barton , my motherboard is KT333 Dragon Plus and when i installed it i got an

"Unknown Processor Type"

I already cleared the CMOS so its not that. Does you have any idea what it might be ad how I can fix it...?

Try updating BIOS.
And run the proggy in my Sig.

Make sure that the Processor field says AthlonXP (Barton), if it does and the computer works fine then you got nothing to worry about, its just the naming system in the BIOS doesn't support the barton. It won't hurt anything.

is it OCed?? depending on the program it might have troubled reading the string if its oced

The Barton may not be fully supported by your motherboard. As the Coolest mentioned, a BIOS update is probably needed.

Even if it isn't fully supported, it should still work fine. You may have to do a little extra work to set it up.

You may also need to do some extra steps to make sure Windows recognizes all of your L2 memory cache. Take a look at this thread, http://www.aoaforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21013&highlight=barton
