If you have 2 hd's with dif os's can you install a power switch between them to shut one off and boot off the other and vise-versa?If the primary ide cable is plugged into both but power is only going to one do you see any conflicts?I know all the other ways to dual boot so I only need an answer to this question.

There probably shouldn't be any problems with that as long as you don't accidently switch on the other HD while the comp is running

I don't do exactly the same thing, but I have my IDE hooked up to two drives and switch the molex between the two (also setting the BIOS to boot off secondary). Never had any problems caused by having a 'dead' secondary on the chain, so I wouldn't imagine there being any with a second 'dead' primary.

Ive seen a piece of hardware that can allow you to select up to 3 (maybe 4) different drives to boot from. I think its called the OS Selector, or something equaly cheesy sounding :) If you wanted an official solution

Just make sure computer is off when switching drives :) .

And to keep you from switching the drive accidently and keep everyone else from fooling with your comp, install a three way keyed switch. Left = one HDD, center = no HDD, and right = other HDD. Just my 2 cents.
