After trying a lot of different settings and overclock speeds, I finally made the front page for all Ti4200 video cards!!! I am in 19th place with a score of 17,533 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7065555). I still have not volt-modded the video card, but I have lapped the GPU and heatsink. I also have the computer sitting in front of a large window fan with the case open. Gotta love this cool weather.
I got a little braver due to the cool weather and upped my CPU o/c to 3.7 GHz with 1.75 volts. I normally run it at 3.4 GHz with 1.575 volts. I also gained about 8 MHz on the GPU o/c due to the window fan.

ya thats a pretty sweet score!;) have you tride running 2003? just to see what it will do? 2003 is a little more card for card based. unlike 2001 witch is bias to CPU, FSB and Memory speeds!i know it doesn't run all test but it still scores. i hit 2100 with a visiontek ti 4200 i had. just curiouse.
anyway nice job!

No, I haven't tried 2003 yet. Do you have to have DX9 installed to run it? Because I am running DX8.

ya 2003 requires dx9. the first 3 test are dx7 and dx8 test but they require dx9 before you can run it! anyway i was just curiose!don't go installing stuff if you are not ready!agian- nice job on 2001!

Yeah, I will probably wait and not install DX9 right now.
I tried volt modding my video card tonight. I got the GPU part done, but I could not get the memory part done. The chip for the GPU mod only has 7 legs (is that the right word?) per side, while the chip for the memory mod has 14 legs per side.

Doesn't condensation get into your computer when your draw cold air from outside? I had the same idea of drawing cold air from the outside but I worred about condensation. Nice score BTW.

I'm not sure about the condensation issue... maybe someone else can shed some light on this. I know that I have done it numerous times while benchmarking (for about an hour or so), and I have not had any problems with condensation. Obviously, I don't do this when it is raining or very high humidity outside.

codensation usualy acurres when hot air, cools to cold air. like if you are in a warm house and run ice water through youre system. the cold water lines meets the warm air and codensation acurres.
but if the air you are using is already cold and youre PC is close to the same ambiant temps! than little or no condensation should acurre.
from my personal use : i use ice water to chill my video card and cpu when serious overclocking. and condensation builds up pretty quick because i usually keep the house around 70. but now that winter is rolling around i'll be able to open the windows and let ambiant temps drop. less condensation>
