See the small LCD screen where his floppy drive would go?

I've seen a few of these setups and i must say its great eye candy but other than that of "looks" what advantages can come from having a small LCD in your case such as this?

I see that this LCD is setup for a mini monitor display and right now its showing bios but who is going to use this over a monitor?? lol, whats the benefit of this type of setup really?

Edit: what is this type of LCD screen called? and where is it available at? Couldnt find it, or much of anything like it on Earthlcd.com

I have one of these and I use it to monitor my MBM5 info, news tickers, system load info, HDD info, email accounts, network traffic, etc. They can be handy. I have a dual monitor setup and the LCD (240x128) is positioned in an acrylic frame between and below the two for easy reference ... and it is especially handy during games that lock you out of your system monitors.

I use a matrix orbital LCD in one of my boxes. Yes its a bit of a toy but its such a fantastic toy I am looking to buy another LCD for my newest rig. MBM5 stats, Folding at home stats, weather, email alerts, you name it you can display it. Ofc this is alot simplier than the graphical LCD that you have a picture of there. Still for my uses it is great, it is not really all that expensive and it looks sharp.
