I just bought an ASUS P4P800, 2.4c 800mhz fsb, 2x512mb of Buffalo PC3700 DDR. When I run an older version of SiSandra, my memory bandwidth is around 4200 mb/s at stock speeds. I thought with dual channel mode enabled that the memory bandwidth of the Intel 865 PE chipset was supposed to be around 6400 mb/s. Am I missing something here or just imagining things. Also I do have my ram in alternating slots to enable Dual Channel.

1) You should use the latest version of Sandra so you can compare apples to apples. It's called "Max" and I think the latest is v9.73.

2) Most people with 2.4C's at default speed on 865 boards without (the fake) PAT enabled are getting around 4500-4600. With the fake PAT (MAM, GAT, FAP-FAP, SPLAT or whatever else they're calling it) enabled it's commonr to see scores around 4700-4800.

Yep, my rig does 4699 at 190fsb so at the full 200MHz fsb you should see 4800. Make sure the system performance mode is set to "turbo" in the asus bios. This enables the PAT-like function.

6400 is really high like maybe ddr 475 2-2-2-5 with GAT.

At ddr 400 5:4 250 fsb i get over 5400

Thanks for the replies everyone!!

I was thinking that maybe the 6.4gb/s was some sort of maximum at an insane fsb too. I plan on downloading the newer version of sisandra and will do more memory testing since its the weekend :)
