is there any way to trick windows into thinking you have a bigger system than you do? the reason i have a game that checks system compatibility by using windows and directx and the system is better than what they reccomend. my laptop however only reports to the game the current settings. ie step down.
the game manufacture says there is no current way to by pass this check unless you make windows think your actually using a better system than you currently are.

Im sure its possible by hacking out version numbers and program settings in the registry, but that is a real good way to blow something up. If your system is reported incorrectly you might consider reinstalling windows though.

no it reports the system i have correctly. but when the program checks the processor, due to the step down technology. you know the processor is never at 100% unless it needs it. the program always sees the 1 ghz proc at idle which is around 600 mhz. so i need a way to make the program see the 1 ghz and not the 600 mhz if you know what i mean. if not ask away ill try and answer the questions for ya
You can try disabling the SpeedStep Technology in the Bios when you install.

In your Power settings, set your machine type to "Desktop" or "Always On".

call the developers and tell them to fix thier stupid software :p
might try running something like F@H when you start the game which will use 100% cpu and might trick the program. this sounds like a serious glitch to me though.
