Can I Improve My Timings?

I wanted to know if I could improve my current memory timings here they are so far and this is default:=

6 - 3 - 3 - 2.5

Can I improve that, by the way what do memory timings do anyway and what performance can it give!

Your performance might increase slightly by giving your tRAS timing (6) to 7 or 8, perhaps higher (11 maybe). This will give more leeway when your memory is doing it's clocking thing. A more in-depth description of this is available here.
