Hi. I have a sorta newbie question but I have 2 computers, one running a windows xp home, the other win xp pro, and they share internet through a router. They both are workgroup computers, but when I'm on the XP Home computer I can't access printer/files from the computer and get a "permission denied message and that //pro is not found." But in View Workgroup Computers, I see both listen.

When I'm on the XP pro computer I can access files from the Home computer no problem. Any suggestions? Thanks you in advance:)

Try sharing a file/folder (right click sharing) with all the options en-dis abled to give full access, and try turning off the firewall for teh connection.

yes turn the firewall off. That always seems to screw things up.

allrite guys my sygate firewall was causing the problem. On a side note, I have a user name and password that I use to login to PRo. Can I store it somehow in the Home computer so I don't have to type it all the time or must i make an account without a password?

Uh... I think if you give full rights to the shared folder it should, not ask. I have a password on my XP pro account and noone ever needs to log-into it. Though it might be somewhere else I don't really know :/
