View Full Version : HELP My A7V133 won't stay on

I was playing around whit the VIO voltage settings to over clock pass 120 Mhz wen I went to 121Mhz it din not boot up, so I reset the bios but now it turn on and beeps one long beep and then turn off by it self I taken all the card out the mem the CPU the video card and I do get the correct errors beeps wen I remove the mem, video and CPU out but it won’t stay on.
I am running out of options please help

You need to clear the bios by way of jumpers. There are 2 solder pins instead of jumpers to do this though. I took a long flathead screwdriver and shorted those pins out for about 2-3 seconds. That cleared the bios for me. These pins are right above the CMOS battery and small.

If you don't like shorting the cmos manually you can always put the board in jumper mode and set the fsb and multiplier with the dip switches to get it going again. Once you get into bios restore the default settings then you can put the board back in jumper free mode.

clear your cmos, that is the best bet.

I have clear the cmos removed the battery longer than 10 minutes short the 2 solder pins set the board in jumper mode and set the fsb and multiplier with the dip switches still no go... I am desperated tank you for your replys William, ken257 and Tacoman667

I had this problem and found that if I removed and reinstalled the CPU chip the problem would go away.

change your VIO voltage back to default. that'll probably solve your problem

I have done what you guys suggested and still it won't stay on as a mater of fact I removed the CPU twice reset the jumper in the VIO and noting I am lost please gentleman don't give up I still have hope

U sure ur cpu fan is in fan header1?? mine does the exactly same thing when i dont have any fan plugged in

i have same problem b4
i set jumpers to just get machine running then set jumperfree mode again
i couldn't reset the bios for some reason
maybe i did it wrong or it just won't let me reset it
