I'm thinking 1000axia@??? with156 and a80 pelt- should I hold off?

depending on what you have I would probably hold off! I think the 1g Axia can be purchased for around 127so that is a lot of value that might make 1.5. if you can get a deal I would do it but if you want cooler temps the AHYJAs seem to run cooler. they run for about 191. use pricewatch to find the best deals.
