What should I sink besides the mosfets(6) and fsb regulators(2)??

i'm going to have a couple of extra bga heatsinks left over and i want to know what else on the board needs to be cooled

i came across some thermal images on an a7n8x, i wonder if anyone out there has taken thermal images on an abit nf7 to see what components get real hot?

Well first order of business is to cool the southbridge. That thing gets so friggin hot its mindblowing.

that's the first thing i did, at default settings i my sound was poping and crackling...

wow, some thermal images of a NF7-S would be great (got 26 left over BGA ramsinks once i get them). i could use a thermal probe but that could take a very long time, that's something i don't have much of for the next few weeks.

the southbridge on the Nforce2 motherboards should come with at least a passive heatsink from the factory, i haven't seen a single one that didn't run blistering hot.
