Oh hell some admin is probably going to move this one me cause I am not sure where to post something like this, but I am just so exited. I finnally got my 1.8 Northwood to Post and run at 3ghz. 3023mhz to be exact. Yaaaa This is with stock HSF my only cooling mods are tripple fans feeding the heatsink.

I finally did it. Yaa for me. Check it out.

Maybe since this is an Overclocking Forum we can have a Forum for just posting overclocks? If we have one the I have missed it somewhere for I to post my OCs in general hardware.
Maybe just a single forum at the top of the list that was called Overclocks or something or other.
Thanks

well, I guess there's the CPU database, but I guess a lot of people don't post their results there. I myself have only posted one result there.

So it isn't just me, I searched for a forum for posting overclocks and found nothing. I thought it was very odd being overclockers.com

Just as a PS, after I posted that number I reduced the speed back down to 2.52ghz. I had to bump the voltage up to 1.75 to get that number. With the thread about northwood sudden death syndrom I didn't want to push my luck. At 2.4 it will run at 1.5 which is the lowest voltage my board will go down to. Temps always stay in the high 20's at 1.5.

The machine never crashed or gave any hint of crashing even when doing photo editing at 3ghz I was amazed how stable it felt. I guess decent ram and a good M/B make all the differnce.
