I totally got OT in my own thread in water cooling. (http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=236113) Long story short there: starting a new WCing project and decide since it's my b-day, I am going to splurge on a new case for it: CoolerMaster ATC-111C. I kind of want the black version which has been discontinued and has been impossible to find.

Pham says they have it, but don't. Sundial Micro has it, which was even confirmed in an email today: "Yes, we defiantly have ATC-111C-BXJ in stock right now. They are physically in sundial micro's warehouse, not cooler master warehouse." (Remember this quote ;) Alienrock.com has them on sale for $180, but they are out of stock.

OK, so Sundial is the most expensive, but they have them on hand. They sell the silver version with fans for $153 and the black version without fans for $210, which is really gnawing at me. Naturally, I have to decide if the black one is worth extra $60. I'm thinking I'll order a silver one from Newegg for $154 and get it re-anodized black myself for $40 and still come out ahead (+free fans!). If the price diff didn't annoy me so bad, I probably would've just ordered the black one today and been done with it, but I need to think things through ad naseum...

So I am still trying to decide if I want the black one for the extra beans and head back to alienrock.com to see if by some miracle they have them back in stock. Upon looking through their Clearance section tonight, I see a very conspicuous "Cooler Master ATC-201C-SX2 Case !! Demo Item in perfect condition!!" for $99. Great case at a great price, which is why I remembered seeing the *exact* same item in sundialmicro.com's Clearance section.

What are the chances, right? I click on Contact Us and see Sundial Micro DBA alienrock.com. Same physical address, same phones, different domains.

Keep in mind this is the same company running two sites:
sundialmicro.com: ATC-111C-BXJ = $210 (physically on hand)
alienrock.com: ATC-111C-BXJ = REG: $195 Sale: $180 ("out of stock")

Now you remember the quote from today's email above, right? That they are physically sitting in sundial's warehouse not even coolermasters, but for some reason their site that sells them cheap(er) just mysteriously doesn't have any!

Needless to say, they got an email right away and I expect a response in the morning. I have to say they are damn quick with their email responses. I had a reply within 30 min. for checking if they had the cases in stock earlier today.

So anyway, do you know how bent out of shape I would be if I stumbled on this after I paid $210 for the case on sundialmicro.com? I am expecting they are going to sell me the case (that they really do have in stock) for the $180 sale price on alienrock.com. Even if they offer to me for that, I may not buy it from them just cuz stuff like that 5UCK5! I'll just get a silver one from Newegg where I don't even have to think twice about hitting the order submit button :D

I will keep you posted on sundial/alienrock's response...
