Sorry about your loss, I have about 14 AXIA's running 24/7 here and just bought a 1.4 AYHJA boxed. I would advise you not to waste your money on any of the faster CPU's. The 1.0 AXIA runs as fast as any of them. If possable get the 200 fsb, then you have the x10 multiplier and do not have to unlock the chip. just run between 133 and 140 bus. GOOD LUCK.

More evidence that shims are more trouble than they're worth - even if they're cut with the right holes in, they've only got to be a fraction of an inch thicker than the core (and all cores will vary ever so slightly) to screw things up - there's only so much thermal paste can do. Sorry to hear about your loss - if you're thinking Palomino then you might want to get a cheap duron to tide you over till it comes out.

I agree with Rob. If you're planning on a Palomino, pop for a Duron and give it a go..they certainly are inexpensive.

With H2O cooling, you should be able to enjoy the hobby, and you will have saved at least $125.00 that you can put towards a later purchase.

Well Stanman has a point, I feel it is not nessesary to go to the bigger chips, even my AVIA is hitting above 1.5ghz. Save your money, buy something else for your rig.

if your going to go that path, get the 1.33. it's $30 cheaper, and only 70Mhz slower.
