Nforce(2) and Memory?

A friend of mine that who owns a computer shop read somewhere that you should only use Winbond memory with the Nforce chipset. From what I understand this means the modules on the stick and not the stick itself, since Geil, Corsair, Mushkin, HyperX and all that are great and use Winbond or some other high quality chips? Has anyone had any experience with this or heard about this? Thanks for the info and maybe this will help somebody learn more about memory (incl. me!!).
 
and then someone comes along and tells me im a dumbass hahahahaha


honestly XMS is some awesome RAM, but most (at least 80% or more) of XMS users cannot get it stable on the DFI Lanparty NF2, and also on a lot of other motherboards with the NF2 chipset.

as always, each user will have different results =)
