I need a good psu (under $40) that will support my current system in my sig because my codegen decided it didnt want to live anymore :mad:

Fortron 350W with 120mm fan (FSP350-60PN). $36 at newegg. Best bang for your buck in PSUs IMHO.

Definatly. The fortron PSUs are typically underratted and you don't seem to have an overly demanding system that would need more power.

if you're talking about the system in your sig...then yes that fortron 350 will power it no problem

What about this Thermaltake at newegg for $46.
Thermaltake Silent PurePower, 420W ATX power supply. UL, CSA, TUV, CE Approved. Intel Pentium 4 Compliant. Switches: ATX Logic on-off additional power rocker switch (115/230 Volt selector switch). ??is this a good choice as well?

probably about as good as the forton 350....but it costs more and may be louder without the nearly silent 120mm fan of the fortron 350
