Cruising along at a comfortable 3.01ghz!!!!! I'm gonna leave it like this for a couple days so everything breaks in then I'm gonna push to see how far it will go with the SLK-900.

how many volts can u give the ram on that board? I like to get some 512 sticks of buffalo if they can perform as well as the 256mb sticks.
how high can you get the ram and whatever voltage?

I just got a new P4 2.4C with a gigabyte 8IPE1000 (865Pe) + 1x512mb TwinMos PC3200 Ram.

Chip came as OEM, so no heatsink :( had to go out and find one locally which was a task in its self, finally found a Spark volcano 5.

About the same size as a std Intel HSF but with support upto 2.6Ghz.

My case is pretty cool with about 7 fans in various arrangements.

So far running normal volts on everything I have had it at 3Ghz with no problems, hit 3.6Ghz with agp/pci locked and normal Ram volts, CPU volts were 1.6v though it stiil boots at 1.525v. so not sure if over volts is required much.

Tried going for 4Ghz, LOL but it didn't boot.

When I get better CPU cooling and another stick of ram so I can run dual channels I'll try again with some extra volts for the ram also.

~Might need to go upto PC3700 or higher on the ram so I'm not stressing that part of the system while clocking the FSB.

SiSoft scores are pretty good, putting my benchmarks against things like multiple AMD Optertron scores..

Drive speeds are hitting new highs, with my IDE ATA-133 drives scoring higher than SATA-150 drives :)

Though with SiSoft you never know if the scores are hardline or not.

I'll keep posting any new barriers this system breaks.

Batch code for this CPU begins L321xxxx can't remember the rest. :)
