ok, im sorta clueless beyond what i have learned or taught myself when building the pc im on now... what exactly is the mobile palamino. i see them for sale, saw they are for multiprocessing servers. does that mean they only work in multiprocessing setups, or can they be used single? can they be used in home systems or are they not build for that? what is the different between that and a regular athlon (besides the fact that its a palamino)?

The Palomino is the next group of processors after the Thunderbird. There are 2 versions of the Palomino: the desktop and the laptop (aka mobile palomino). To further complicate things AMD is now calling the palomino the Athlon 4 for marketing reasons. The desktop palominos/mobile palomino/mobile athlon 4 will be released sometime this summer and the desktop version should follow later this year during the 3rd or 4th quarter.
