I just bought a duron 850 and i have it running at 1110mhz (10x111). at idle this thing is great, its at around 75-78f depending on the temp of my room. at full load it goes all the way up to 100f. this is a watercooled system. Maze2 from DD and i custom made my watercooling tower (Steve Pignato's Article). can anyone tell me if this is the chip or what. its working fine but i think that the temp increase is just too much for something that is watercooled. thanks.

What exactly is the problem-unless i missed it you said it ran fine idle and didnt say how it ran under load, only that it hits 100f, yes that sould be ok for a watercooled system-but a drop in room temp will be well appreciated by the cpu and system in general

i just wanted to know what the cause is of the severe temp jump. i go to load AIM and it jumps up 4 degrees F. i just dont understand why it is like this. my other CPU (Duron 650 @ 970 [8x114]) would barely move temps. and only 4F higher under full load. under full load i'm just scared that the temp will get too high. thats all i'm just asking if the CPU is responsible or the compound. thanks.
