I just purchased a MSI KT4V board today and everytime i changed the multiplier it will not post. I can change everything but i have to leave that on auto. Anyone know what my problem is?

Before you start OC'ing with that MSI board, I suggest flashing the BIOS. As many MSI boards incorrectly report the CPU and System temps. Mine were 10C too low until I flashed with the most recent BIOS update. Just a suggestion. I thought I had a real cool CPU for about a month.

If your chip is not unlocked you cant just change the multipler and expect it to work.A friend has that board and has had no luck in overclocking.

Ill give the bios a try this weekend. As for the unlocking. Im not too sure if that is my problem or not because it worked just fine with the motherboard before this.
