Does anyone know when Durons will have copper interconnects. Will it be introduced along with the new Morgan core or can we expect them sooner. Amd could probably ramp the speed of the current duron core to 1100mhz before switching to copper so there may be no hope for copper anytime soon. Durons are usually more overclockable than equivalently clocked T-birds with aluminum interconnects so it will be very interesting to see what happens when AMD switches to copper.

That would be amazing a budget chip that'll do a gig. heck with the proces of the Durons a 1000-1100 mhz chip will only be $75-and most Durons only hit bout 1100 now max. imagine what a 1100 Duron would hit-1400mhz for $75 thats Bang for your Buck!

First nice overclock! second I don't think they will have copper interconnect for on Durons for a while I am guessing they will continue the durons as low end and use the same core until the duron 1.33 then they will probably have palmino cores at 1.4. I doubt anybody at amd is thinking of the overclocker but hey we can still dream and hope.

I doubt they will use copper either, but still imagine what a 1.33 Duron would do-if they follow suit they will overclock better than the Tbird/palamino stepping-that means a 1.33 Duron will run faster than the Tbird/palamino

Well sooner or later AMD will switch to copper for the Durons. It's just a matter of how high the aluminum core will go and how fast they want budget processors to go. I don't think AMD will ramp up Duron speeds very soon but somewhere around 1100mhz they will either have to switch to copper or tweak the aluminum core even further. AMD has really held the Duron back by not releasing a 1 gig. I don't think I could handle a sub gig processor even though its only 50 mhz away. Once copper durons are out I'll finally upgrade from my current setup, duron 600@1102.
