Im fairly sure this is something only gigabyte boards have and its that add in card to the left of the socket...

from teh reviews i've read about this board its suppose to allow you to attain higher fsbs with stability

I kinda figured that part but what is it exactly???

From the looks of it it is a high-wattage switching regulator 0 dunno what it does though.

Edit: in the manual it says it's an extra voltage controller thingy.
