HD question

I purchased a Maxtor 80GB 7200RPM IDE ULTRA ATA133 with 8mb cache a couple months ago.
In the end I just pulled old hard drive and plugged in new one. Then went to installing Win XP pro and programs.
Everything went fine and I have had no problems.

My question:
There was a CD that came with it that apperantly has utilities and drivers. Do I need to install drivers from theCD for any reason? Am I not getting all that I can from the HD with out them? Or is everything kosher?

I don't think you are missing anything speed wise without utilities. (but make sure your HD runs in DMA mode)

but there might have been useful little programs on the CD.
