Well just bought a 9800np (ATI built) in CC...when I opened the box my greatest fear became a reality.
The memory chips read Infinion 3.0  :bang head: , the thoughts running through my head at that point were not plesant.
What i would like to ask you guys is...what are my chances of getting this puppy to Pro speeds? And what are my options at this point? ...could REALLY use some good news fellas. :(

That memory should do 330mhz.
Not as fast as the Sammy, but at least you didn't get the Infineon 3.3 stuff.

Heh good idea. But i'm stuck in class for the next 3 hours...so till i get back to my dormroom ill have to go throught a serious case of anxiety attacks :D .
Ok, back to the subject...would i need to slap some home-made ram sinks on the the puppy to get to 330-ish on the ram? or could I do it with the naked ram?

:D The good news ===> Well it seems to run stable at 400/330 with stock cooling. This assumption is based on 7 rounds of 3dMark01,3DMark03, AquaMark and 7-8hrs of un-interupted Unreal 2 play.
 Not so good news===> Anything higher than 330 on the ram produces insane artifacts. Core speeds of higher than 400 produce slight artifacting..for like a second and then go away, and seems to crash U2 after 1min-2hrs of gameplay.
any ideas, questions or suggestions on squeezing more juice out of this baby or stabalizing it?
Thanx :)
