I have a P4 1.8 @2.05, 256 PC2300, GF2 MX 400 oc'd 30/30 mhz, 5 case fans, Zalman with 92mm fan, and a generic (i think) PSU @ 350 watts.
Idle voltages are: Under Load (Prime95):
VCore: 1.530 goes DOWN to 1.520
+3.3V: 3.290 goes DOWN to 3.280
+5V: 5.100 goes UP (??) to 5.160
+12V: 11.900 goes DOWN to 11.640
I can hear all the fans slow down, and the fan lights dim under load. I can't go past 2.05 GHZ without it immediately restarting. Im using Software FSB. The strangest part is EVERY time, no matter if its oc'd or not, the computer turns on but nothing happens on the screen, just like a dead CPU. If it wait or push the reset button a few times and wait a few minutes, eventually the computer will boot up normally.... This is really weird. Ive noticed that it usually takes less time to start booting if the fans are on lower power from the fan controller.....Anyone know what the problem is? Im thinking about getting at least a 420w PSU from thermaltake but I want to make sure that I know what the cause of all this is before I do anything. By the way, the maximum load temp is 96 degrees Farenheit at 2.05 so i think i can go much more. Also, my mobo doesnt have an adjustable Vcore... Any way around this? thanks guys...
