i bought a laptop cpu, AMD 1Ghz , i have no idea as to what brand of lap top i should put it in as im building a sytem from scratch. Anyone know of any lap tops that had the AMD 1Ghz? Which mobo does it go with?

Your CPU should go in any motherboard the supports AMD 1 ghz CPUs. Could be a desktop or Laptop board.

ECS A929 is a desknote that you can get barebones with no CPU, OS, ram, etc if you search hard enough. It's the only barebones portable system that I'm aware of, though it is not a true laptop because it doesn't have an external battery, and it can use desktop CPU's and ram.
