Seems like I should of read a few more of ur posts before I did mine!
I seem to hear a lot of different stories about the K6-2s Some people say that they are not good for overclocking, other people raving about how easy they are... whats the story there?
Where does that leave me? Will I be lucky to get an extra 50Mhz?
Is my 150Mhz jump completely outta the window? :-(
Just wonderin!
Thanx
Mark

No reason to be sorry...Try checking the CPU database on the main page of this website...very informative for a chip you own or are considering. Be sure to pay attention to the types of cooling used. Many of the higher numbers are achieved via water cooling or water/peliter cooling. Good luck.

While they are not terrible for overclocking, they do generate a great deal of heat.. so to get anything above 50 c takes a great hsf, case fans and money that would be better spent elsewhere (ie saving for a new system)
I would be surprised if you got a 150 mhz jump from a k6-2
