Ok im in a bind here I bought an AMDk6500 chip..
I have Changed the jumpers to run 100 fsb and reset the cmos.
Origionally it was a 333cs E machines with the cyrix chip.
It will only run at 300mhz at first it was only 250mhz.
I have tried soft fsb and some other progs to try to alter the frequency.
But nothing will recognize the manufacturer of the board..
E machines were no help at all....
And American Megatrends doesnt recognise my bios version which is amibios2699.
I have come across others with the same puter I have and they are having the same problem.
I know its my fault 4 buying a cheap puter. Im planning on building a new one and giving this one to my son before school starts back up...
Thank you everyone.....

Welcome to the forums Evil.

So were you able to run the chip at 100mhz buss? The board should also have jumpers for setting the multiplier which would be 5.0 in your case. Carefully inspect the board and see if there is any way to adjust the multiplier. I don't think your machine will support soft fsb or fsb and multiplier adjustments in the bios so jumpers are the only other way to get the desired speed.
