ill agree. no golden orbs! there known as core killers you would be lucky to get away with just chipping your core when you try to take it off, i know all to well i had that problem luckily my t-bird 900 is still running but with 15% of the surface of my core missing.

ack! no, not an orb. Alpha makes a good SlotA(not slot1) hsf.
Orbs are not good at all. I used to use it for my Intel Celeron and I got overheated. Celeron everyone know that it not a build up a lot of heat.
For AMD, it build up way more heat because of bigger bus speed. If you use Orb with AMD CPU, I think you will burn your CPU soon.

whooops.. yea i am on a Slot A, put Slot 1, my mistake..
hrmm, most Alpha's that i've seen look "Nuclear".. lol..
i bet if i put it in my comp, and turned on my comp, all the lights in the house would fade in and out.. hehe.. don't know if I have enough juice for it..
oh well.. off to go look at more "Alpha" made HSF's..
thx everyone for all the help.. appreciate it..

what is everyone's opinions on this:
"GlobalWin VOS32 CPU Cooler For AMD Athlon Slot A/ P3 SECC 2 Slot 1"
=)..
thx again
The VOS 32+ is pretty much the best slot heatsink you can get, some of the alphas are close but the shear size of the VOS wins. You can fit a 120mm fan on it :) imagine it with the 135cfm ys-tech

sweet, thx for the help.. =)..
quick question tho.. hehe.. is it loud?.. says "36 dBA"
thx again
I have OCZ Gladiator for my comp now. The CPU temp with full load is about 42-46c. :)
All good cooling are round. If not, then use water cooling.
