Sup Guys,
AMD 1ghz w/266fsb - MSI K7TPro (MS-6380) mainboard - 256mb DDR RAM - GeForce2 GTS Ultra 32mb - Maxtor Ultra-100 20g - Sound Blaster Live Sound Card - USB 2.0 - Firewire - etc.....
I know a little about overclocking but obviously no enough. Here are my PROBLEMS:
#1-When I raise my FSB my USB stops responding and can't run any USB devices....
#2-Overclocked to 1197 with multiplier 9.0x but RAM timing has to be HCLK-33 and 2.5 latency. I want my RAM to run at HCLK straight and 2.5 latency, if I use 2.0 latency OS doesn't seem to respond very well.
#3-If I raise my multiplier or lower it anymore it locks up. I got my fsb one time to 158 Ran awesome but USB didn't work and I need it for certain devices.

So what can I do to overclock this puppie right! Please Help if you CAN?

Ok, after posting this I went back and changed my RAM timing to 2.5 at HCLK my multiplier to 8.5x and fsb to 136. For a total of 1180.5mhz stable with all USB working fine. Any more FSB and USB don't work anymore. If I take the multiplier to 9x it locks. But if change the RAM timing to 2.5 HCLK-33 then I can bring up the multiplier to 9x with no problems. WTF?

I know this baby can get a little more than 1180.5mhz and still have it stable and working good.

Some suggestions would be helpful......8)

Try these setting
10.5x135, Vc=1.7
I have them on my MSI K7T Turbo, 1GHz TB 266 with generic CAS 3 memory , USB are ok and the system is stable at 1.417 GHz

Raising the I/O voltage can smooth a lot of ripples on the PCI, Memory and AGP busses. I don't know if your particular board allows you to adjust the Vi/o, but consider trying. To achieve an FSB of 150, I have to run mine at 3.57. At 133, it only takes 3.47. Juggling the Vcore and Vi/o for the greatest speed stability is part of the challenge of overclocking.
