I am debating between these two pumps and was wondering if anybody knows if there is a difference in noise between the two. Im looking for near silent operation. Also maybe someone could suggest which pump to get. My set up is a chevette core and maze 4 block using 1/2". i have not installed a gpu block but may in the future. thanks oc forums.

for two blocks I'd go with the 1250. I think theya re both pretty quiet.
Either way they are nice pumps.

I can't hear my 1250 over the 120mm fan I have on my radiator. The fan I use is this one (http://www.plycon.com/fans/chrome120.htm)

I just got a 1048, and it's a pretty big pump. If the 1250 is larger than it must be really big.

i love my 1250, it's very quiet, although it does carry a bit of vibration so some creative mounting can be quite helpful with that. I do belive the 1250 is considerably larger than the 1048, actually.. it's freakin huge man.

The vibrations can be a PitA but with some rubber feet, all is well.

I used some rubber w/ my eheim 1048, and it's unaudiable.

My 1048 I can only hear if I hold it in my hand. Vibrations are almost nil.
I use a single block and rad in my setup.
