2 quick ones

1- How do I set my windows explorer to "view as web page" so that previews will show such as thumbnails for pics? I want everything to look more 98ish.

2- How do I transfer my old favorites folder from ie6 off old hd to new hd? I copied and pasted the old one to the new hd but it did not overwrite the favorites folder.

1. The "View as web page" option is no longer available in XP, but as long as you have the folder view in Explorer turned off, files will preview in the LH pane (under "Details")...same as "View as web page". Active Desktop is basically just built into the OS now, so there's no need to select it. If for some reason you need to restrict or grant access to users (afa being able to enable or disable Active Desktop), which is enabled by default, you can use the Group Policy Editor to do so...

Start | Run | Type gpedit.msc and click OK | Expand the following branch...

User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Desktop | Active Desktop

Right-click the "Enable Active Desktop" or "Disable Active Desktop" option in the RH pane and select "Properties". I believe this setting adds a new NoActiveDesktop DWORD Value (a DWORD Value of 1 would disable Active Desktop, and a Value of 0 would enable it) to the following Key in the Registry...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | Microsoft | Windows | CurrentVersion | Policies | Explorer

2. Make sure to paste the contents of your old Favorites folder to the following location...

C:\Documents and Settings\%Username%\Favorites :)

Anyone know how to move all my favorites to the new copy of ie6?
