HA HA HA! I have done it! I have managed to overclock my K62 to 575 using 5.5 x 105 MHZ on a PAG2130 Board. I removed the cap from the cpu (and put some heat transfer compound bettween it and the heatsink), used a case fan, modified the case to direct air at the cpu and increased the voltage to 3.1 (not recomended but hey! its time I had a new PC anyway)
The result is a 575MHZ AMD K6 2. Now if it was a K62+ I could get 600MHZ out of it, but it isnt, so I cant.
the temp is about 58^C, (yes, that may be a little too hot) and accoring to my CPU bench mark program it has only made a smidge of difference.
Just thought I would blow my own trumpet.
he he hehe hehe!
