I have a 1.2Ghz 200mhz fsb and the thing is alright, i really can't overclock it that much with out it dieing. I was looking at the new 1.33Ghz 266Mhz fsb AYHJA(<forgot the order) and they are pretty cheap.

Really the question is if i sold my 1.2 for rufly $110-$120 and then bought one of the 1.33's for about $200-$210, would it b worth it, or should stay with my 1.2Ghz.

I also want to know. if i got this new chip how overclockable is it really. I have a Volcano 2 for a heat sink and i have heard that, that is not enough. I would like to get it to at least 1.55+ or there abouts. Please help me out with some answers. No answer is to stupid, i would like to now everyones opinion on the new steppings of the athlon and if you have one please tell me how it works for you. Thanks.

The AYHJA with a good heatsink and fan should get between 1.5-1.6ghz But I would wait for palamino/athlon 4 chips rather than upgrading ar the moment, even if it's only for the prices to come down.

I would stay with your current config.

What your CPU temp@1.2?
Maybe invest in better cooling first. You should be able to get quite a bit out of the 1.2.

My temps are at 53C fully loaded. They are at around 48C just standard desktop stuff. I have tried ocing it and maybe it is just windows but all it does is lock up and then i have to flash the bios. I'm really not sure what else i could do.

what hsf are you using. Those temps are too high especially for idle. You aren't going to overclock any chip with those temps. The reason it is locking up is that you are overheating your cpu.

U mean Heat Sink Fan? Then it is just the one that came on the Volcano 2. It runs at around 4,000-5,000 rpm's think. I'm not at my computer now, so I would have to get back to you on that one.
