Hi i was wondering if a 300 watt power supply would be ok for this cpu or should i get a 350 .

the 300 would work but I would go for a 350 to be safe

There are huge differences between power supplies, you want low noise and ripple, tight regulation and plenty of available power on the combined (3.3v + 5v) rails.

If you stick with AMD's recommended power supplies (http://www1.amd.com/athlon/power), for your processor you should be okay..If you have unusually high power demands, or are thinking about overclocking, then a quality 400Watt PSU might best meet your needs.

the enermax 431 watt is a good choice that should be more than enough power for plenty of upgrades.
