Any IRQ conflict/sharing?

Once had a soundcard sharing an IRQ with the display card. Slowed down boot times awfully. Changed the slot and tings were ok.

I think you got something there...sheesh...my vid card is sharing IRQ 10 with sound card and network card...should I just change slots on the sound card and NIC...and hope...or will I have to uninstall them and reinstall the drivers.
Right now...

AGP
empty PCI
sound card
NIC
empty PCI
empty PCI

I have tried my SB128 in 2 slots so far, but it still wants to
share IRQ 10 with my vid card.... doesnt seem to be causing
a problem, at least not that I noticed yet anyways.

I am using the onboard LAN, and it goes to IRQ 3.

Has ANYBODY been able to get the onboard SoundMax sound
working with Win98SE ? I tried, but couldnt make it work, so
put the SB128 in.....

6502kid...Are you using your com ports for anything...if not disable them in BIOS...this helped my IRQ conflicts

after disabling com ports

at least now sound and nic are not sharing IRQ 10...just wish I could get that USB host controller off of there too, although I am not seeing any problems, either.

Sorry cannot help you with onboard sound.

I had COM2 disabled, but left COM1 on. It grabs IRQ4.

I did try another PCI slot for my SB card, the middle one, and
now it is on IRQ11. So now my vid is only sharing with
that SMBus and the USB.

Think I will go ahead and disable com1 also, as I aint using it
for anything, and see what happens then.
