Is the 800fsb 2.4 Intel the MEGA overclocker, or the 533? I'm an Intel NEWB.
Thanks for helping quickly!

both are sweet oclockers. I have the 533 (b) version, and I can hit 3Ghz on air (166x18). As far as the HT cpus (c), I have heard the same, if not better results!
Edit - if you are asking what to get, I would personlly get the HT-enabled CPUs for efficiency!

HT - HyperThreading?

Yep - 2.4(c) 800Mhz FSB would be my choice, even though I am thoroughly happy with my 2.4(b).

Sooo.. Maxvla has a 2.4(b) that clocks to 3.6. Should I take that or risk it and go with the 800fsb?
That CPU that Max has for sale is awesome. The 2.4C will have a higher FSB, but average O/C is 3.2 to 3.4 gig with those, so it'll be sort of a toss up for performance... Max's 2.4B that will do a high clock speed and lower FSB or a 2.4C that will have a higher FSB, but probably a lower clock speed. Whichever you get, match it up with an i875 or i865 chipset mobo.

I was going to get the Abit IC7. THat has the 875P chipset. Is that the same as the I875p? From what I understand the IC7 is a good board for this chip, right?
i875p/875p .. refer to the same thing, afaik
