View Full Version : Way to go OCZ!
Oredered on Friday, shipped on Saturday. I now sit here holding an AYHJA - y 1333 and an I-Will KK266. Cannot wait for the spacer to arrive so I can put this thing together. Yippee

yeah they ship quick, but they use airborn express, and they suck. i had too wait 3 days because they needed a signature.
I applaud your self-discipline. If I was sitting there with that CPU in my hands, I'm afraid I could not wait for a shim to arrive. ;D
Hoot
An I may not be able to, either. The cpu already has 4 little rubber legs already attached. Maybe if I am real careful, a little AS, and be real gentle with the Gladiator, maybe I can do it without chippin' the core. : )

you don't need to worry about chipping the core w/ the gladiator, the clip is one of the best and goes one really easy. have fun :)

what the hell is a shim?
It is a non-conductive (or copper) spacer that goes between the cpu and the hsf that stabilizes the hsf and does not let it rock on top of the core, which can chip the core thus rendering the cpu into a keychain.
IT LIVES, Set at auto and 1333, for the moment. Geforce3 drivers installed in Win2000 Pro. Modem working and I am going to bed. Will add SP2 and all m/b and Via 4in1's tomorrow, put in MBM to monitor temps and will see where I can get to. But it does seem much quicker than my old PIII-800. Goodbye Intel :)
a 1333 t-bird faster than a P3 800? NO WAY! :)
