Advice with new system

I plan to make a new box before i go to college this fall. Since i have about 2 months until i leave, i was wondering if i should purchase the hardware now, or wait the 2 months to purchase the desktop palomino... If i purchase the hardware now i am thinkin about a amd 1.33 ghz (AYHJA) epox 8k7a+ with 2*30 gb hd raid... along with 256 mb crucial ddr, geforce 2 pro... When are the desktop Palomino's coming out, and is the wait worth it... With a 1.33 AYHJA and a millenium glaciator i plan to oc to 1400-1500... If anyone has any suggestions or opinions on whether i should wait taht would be great.. one last question... what is going to be the debut speed of the desktop Palomino? thanks

well... what to do depends on a number of things. what system are you running now and can you stand to wait for the pal? personally, i would wait for the pal myself, but i dont know the realease date and all yet so... im assuming its better than the tbird, so the wait should be worth it. the system you are looking at getting if you dont wait though is also really nice. almost identical to one i am helping my friend build for school next year ;-) its a great setup and you will definitely be happy with it if you decide to go that way. i guess it all comes down to whether or not you want to have that new system for the summer, or wait a bit and have a better one (and more expensive i'd guess) at the start of school. i myself am waiting until christmas or so to upgrade to the pal for money reasons.
