Rumors and reports everywhere all slate to the Athlon4 processor arriving for the desktop market this fall. Two flavors will be introduced, the 1.5GHz (200MHz FSB) and 1.53 (266MHz FSB). The Palomino core Athlon4 processor will come with professional 3Dnow! support and give full support for SSE technology.

"According to the site's handy little table, the Athlon will, as expected, jump up to 1.5GHz and 1.53GHz during Q3, but the best AMD can manage for Q4 is 1.6GHz. Q1 2002 will see the Athlon's clock speed upped to 1.73GHz. "

The Athlon4 @ 1.53GHz & 1.5GHz will ship in September.
Next, The Duron processor will reach the 1GHz milestone and also come out in September.
I suspect the 1.67Ghz Athlon4 & 1.6GHz Athlon4 will come out by november.
