I'm trying to get my Duron 750 to 1GHz. So I set my voltage to +0.15v and flip the 100/133 jumper on the board. It boots to 1GHz. Loads up Win2K, everything seems spiffy so I load up Prime95 and get a round-off error.

So I think to myself: Self? Yes? I think you need to raise the voltage a notch or two. Really, think so? Yeah, looks that way. Well, sure thing then self. Thank-you self.

So I reboot, bump vcore up to +0.20, save&exit the BIOS and.... burrrrrrrrrrrzzzzz... the fans go into a low power state and it doesn't reboot. I move the jumper back to the 100 position, reboot and stick it back at default voltage.

Is this a common problem? In all my time in overclocking I've never seen a processor with adequate cooling not boot because of higher voltages. I've got a WBK38 hooked up to the thing and MotherBoardMonitor5 reports CPU temp at 32C, (Sensor2 set to Via686B2, which is the hottest temp probe so I assume that's the CPU), under no load with the Delta Black Label rheostat-ed down really low (2,500RPM? Dunno, monitor isn't hooked up).
