So I'm wiring power to all of the components of my new PC, and it's becoming quite the rat's nest of wires. This got me thinking. Is there some way that I could wire some sort of power strip inside my PC? I could wire the power supply to a long strip of outlets along the front of my case. This could free up a lot of space for airflow, as instead of having power wires running all over, I could just connect them to the power strip along the front of the PC. Does this seem feesable? Does a product like this already exist, or would I have to make it myself? I really would like to tidy things up in there.

sure, u could go to radioshack and pick up some male/female molex plugs, find something to house them, wire up on power feed, and as many power outlets as you'd like. That's a very good idea. :D.

I don't think I've ever run into such a beast, so you'd probably have to make your own.
Don't forget to use a hella big pair of wires powering your 'buss' because you're taking the current draw of several drives and running them through one pair of wires. That's why most psu's only have two power connectors per line.
So you're talking about modding your power supply too? Removing the un-needed power lines and replacing them with one big fat pair?

I've thought about doing this to mine, I have a Sonata case, and the power supply is stretching the power lines to the bottom-most drives in the front cage.
There's just that darned warranty thing to worry about...as if that's stopped me before. :D
