Hi gang,
Got my KT7a up to par now.(800 duron) I currently have only gotten brave enough to change the FSB of the CPU itself in 1mhz increments, and then seeing what happens. I have increased the FSB of the CPU to a multiple of 10. Sisoft says I'm running at 881 MHZ.
I am looking at MOBO Monitor right now and it reads a steady 38C on the CPU and 38 for the Case as well. (22c for the northbridge chip)

I am just curious about the voltage. It is at default right now, (I believe 1.6v) If I keep going higher (I can go as high as 28 I believe on the FSB multiple) do I need to do anything to the voltage? Could someone point me to some good articles on the subject? Or guide me?
Thanks. OCing is going good so far........

I'll answer your quetion about voltage. If you are FSB overclocking, as you raise your entire system's operating frequency, you may need to add a little to the 'VIO' in order to achieve stability. You may also need to add some to the Vcore..in order to get the processor stable.

It's all a matter of cut and try..Rather than go on here, I'll refer you an article that is one of the better that I've found.

Remember, watch your reported temperatures and proceed slowly..I always take notes as well.

this article (http://www.athlonoc.com/ochowto1.php) is a nice overview of overclocking, and I strongly urge you to read all of the articles on this site regarding cooling. They can be found on the front page, links on the left hand side of the page.

The Beginner's guides, Heatsink reviews, Case cooling and tips, Cpu Reviews and tips and Overclocking Experiences and Tips are a wealth of information.

Cheers,
