View Full Version : Need Info on AYHJA - "K" Series
I just bought this chip and to my surprise, stumbled upon a 1.33 AYHJA with a “K” as the lead character in the serial number.
Does anybody have any info on this chip? Like how fast could I clock it, temp, and etc…
It seems everyone has a “Y” series and no one seems to have the “K” series.
Thanks

The processor is not unknown. It is perhaps the premiere candidate for a high overclock (ultimate speed rather than pre-centage wise)
Your overclock is dependant upon a lot of factors, Cooling being number one. You'll need a lot of available power on the 3.3v +5v combined rails, An overclock friendly motherboard, some very high quality RAM, and your best friends are patience and knowledge.
There have been some reports that processors of a like code are reaching 1.6Ghz with the absolute best of air cooling. Temperatures differ a lot depending on the reporting method.
Read Joe's article on the front page regarding temperature reporting. I look at T-bird temperatures as relative figures, rather than absolutes, as this is the best that you can achieve.
A basic rule of thumb is to keep your reported temperatures as low as possible, but as you'll see, this is a controversial matter. Buy the absolute best cooling set-up that you can afford, as you'll likely be dealing with a thermal load approaching 100Watts.
A neat little table can be found within this (http://www.overclockers.com/tips506/index02.asp) article. It is definitely worth your time to find and read all the articles on the front page regarding temperature. It'll give you a better understanding as to what you're dealing with..

Hmmm..
I dont have a 1.33 AYHJA,
but a 1GHz AXIA "K" series.
managed to overclock it to 1200.
full load temp was about 50degC.
didnt want to go further...but guess it can..if i have a better cooler..
Maybe it takes some time before databases for "K" series cpus hit the web
