Is it just me or are these becoming extrememly rare? Ive even noticed most of the major retailers are out of the OEM BBA 9800 Pro's. Both seem to be selling like hotcakes. I cant find a 9800 NP anywhere from a reputable buyer and i want to get one this weekend.

Called BestBuy and they are flat-out of them. The sales rep told me that ATI isn't making many more 9800 Pro's or Non-Pro's due to the XT coming out. CompUSA has the 9800 NP for $299 but in limited quanities at most of their stores.

Production of Radeon 9800 Non-Pro's has seemingly dried up. Sapphire (the manufacturer mainly responsible for the Non-Pro, building their own model, as well as many of the Built-By-ATI models) has re-allocated their R350 cores to differant products. The Radeon 9800SE (slow edition) and the Radeon 9800 Pro-Lite (cheaper, but not as cheap as the Non-Pro was, 9800 Pro).
