If you are talking about the L1 bridges, I used a sewing needle and the rear-window de-fogger kit (now known as goo) from NAPA ($7), the brush they supply is way to big, but it was never intended to be used for O/Cin. I found this a permanent fix and the worst thing about it was making sure I did not spread the goo to the other bridges. I did make one mistake and had some acetone nearby to wipe it all off. I had a reading magnify glass setup between 2 phone books to hold it up to apply the goo. Kinda cheesy, but it worked. Well a long answer for a short task. That is all.
I used an exacto knife or just a razor blade and a magnifying glass and scratched across the bridge until it gave away it is a very thin piece of gold layed across the space between the contact points.

yeah, i thought about using a razor blade... it's just that a smooth blade on metal normally isn't the most effective thing. i'll give it a bash when i'm feeling brave, though!! ;-)

Managed to cook a 900 last night. Will carry out a few experiments to see what works best. I can't do any more damage to it, so might as well put it to some use. I have seen it suggested that you take the chip to a jeweller.(Got it in the right thread this time).
I hard-coded my 1G/266 for 10x multiplier. That involved cuts and bridges on the "other" L traces. I used an engraver and its great as long as you don't want to undo the job. The traces buzz off the die. I mean the Entire trace! Once I got over the initial shock of the first one falling off, it wasn't so bad. My CPU is and shall forever remain at 10x multiplier default. I can still change it in the bios. :D
