13301 score on 3dMark 2001!

For me this is awesome! I know you ATI guys are gonna' poo-poo it...but its alot better than the 7000 I got before my new mobo, CPU and memory!

CPU, and memory stock.
Vid card OCd to 300 core 600 memory. (250/513 stock)

all stock score was 12226.

drivers--40.72s

That's a bit low. Why not try some newer drivers? I'm hitting about 15k with my system...

pretty good. Nice score.

CamH: Barton at 2.4Ghz has a lot more power than P4 at 2.6Ghz, besides the drivers.

Yeah, CPU speed really does make a lot of difference in 2k1, infact the card will only really be showing its best in the nature test.

sell your 2.6c and get a 2.8c. Overclock her to 3.5GHz and get ram thatll run in sync. Nice video card and nice overclock. If you get a 3.5GHz p4c, you may break 16k!!!!!!!!!! also enjoy games on the ti4200 for the next 3 years, I know I will :) screw dx9, dx8 path is faster anyway minus a few minor IQ

I'm getting 15k with 44.03 drivers. I'm sure you can get close. My card is o/c'd to around 328/580 when I did the test but run it at 300/550 for everyday use and I get high 14k. Cpu is at 3.1ghz.

dude seriously. Are you smoking rocks or what? Why would you recommend someone sell their 2.6c and buy a 2.8c? I'll ignore the part about DX9 sucking. We've been through that.

Don't encourage people to waste their money.

the 2.6 sucks at overclocking but the 2.8c loves it :) Bobby, ive tried enough for 15k, not gonna happen with my hardware but come the a64 ill go for 20k :)

Or he could overclock the 2.6c to 3.5ghz and it would be way faster than a 2.8c at 3.5ghz.. or better yet, a 2.4c at 3.5ghz.

can someone explain this to me? i have seen it before, someone said that a 1700+ @ 2.4ghz would smoke a 2500+ barton @ 2.4ghz... don't get it, enlighten me :)

higher front side bus = faster, a 1700 at 2.4 would have to have a much higher front side bus.

well that depends on if they lower the multiplier on the cpu both cpus can run really high fsb

but if u have a barton at say 200*12=2.4ghz and a t-bred at 200*12=2.4ghz then the barton would be faster due to the extra L2 cache

Well since

car low = cpu+gpu
car high = cpu+fsb+memtimings
drag low = gpu+vmem
drag high = gpu+cpu
lobby low = cpu+gpu+fsb+memtimings
lobby high = fsb+mem
nature = gpu+vmem

You could do a nice improvement by OCing your CPU, :) The video card drivers you are using are fine; Using DirectX 8.1 will also give a little boost as well, :) Also, if you run a great bench but fall short of your target, rerun drag low and nature...as these are 99% gpu+vmem dependant you can overclock the card higher and thus get a higher score...if you run car and lobby or such though, after you run all the tests as they are cpu/fsb/mem dependant your scores will almost always lower, :)

man...some bad advice in here lol....dude save you money and keep the 2.6c they are not all bad overclockers.

Everyone said the 2.53 was not a champ but mine did 3.56ghz:)

benching is only good for bragging rights,if the games play smooth with lots of i candy then that to me is what matters..
